This project had one main objective: to be an awesome bar and entertaining space!
Once the dilapidated old decking was removed, groundworks commenced with plant machinery to take out the fall in the garden and the earth was retained using railway sleepers to create a retaining wall.
We then commenced constructing the epic space, built on ground screws and fully insulated to keep noise pollution to a minimum. Three-panel aluminium bifold doors were installed and the room was plastered.
After much to-ing and fro-ing, our client decided to install a toilet and basin on the side of the build. So we incorporated a separate room into the build to house the toilet, meaning people wouldn’t have to keep traipsing back and forth to the house.
Once the decking was constructed, room painted, and flooring installed, we finished off the room with a luxury bar to house plenty of wine and beer. Thankfully it was ready just in time for the football!
From my very first phone call to the final email today, Bexley Garden Rooms have been a pleasure to work with. Everyone has been so helpful and accommodating, even when I was changing things midway through the build. Nothing was too much trouble. The fact the room is actually built on site made all my 'little tweaks' possible. That, and the skill and positive attitude of the builders. We now have a fantastic space that is a great addition to our home. We are looking forward to making lots of happy memories in there.
