Bexley Garden Rooms was established by a trio of long-standing friends during the initial Covid lockdown
The circumstances were serendipitous: Andy’s IT consultancy business faced contract losses; Sam realised his degree was too office-centric for his taste; and Matt, like all salespeople, was grappling with the chaos caused by Covid.
These challenges prompted them to explore new opportunities.
Building to meet demand
Having already constructed garden rooms in their own homes, friends and family had started asking if the trio would be able to replicate the same quality builds for them.
Then one sunny Sunday afternoon, over socially distanced beers, this request – combined with the growing need for home offices due to remote working – sparked the idea of founding a company specialising in building home offices.

Combining their diverse expertise from entirely different industries into the realm of domestic construction – and having personally encountered the shortcomings of customer service within the field – they set out to establish a company with a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience.
