Bromley Garden Relaxation Room

“This is a project of love,” our lovely client told us. “I want it to be an extension of my garden.”

Knowing how much our client values her outdoor space and natural surroundings, we knew this was a personal project, so we were really determined to go above and beyond her expectations.

However, this job was not without its difficulties and our team had their work cut out for them!

Firstly, to demolish and completely remove the existing old summerhouse and some small trees, as well as remove a lot of growing bamboo. Then, to manoeuvre a micro digger through the different layers of the garden to the site so that the concrete base could be broken up and the building area levelled. We needed 3 x 8 yard skips to remove all the debris.

With a level ground now to work with, we used ground screws for the foundations. In keeping with the natural theme, our client chose Dura brown woodgrain composite for the front and right walls and standard white UPVC for the unseen back and left wall.

Our client chose an anthracite grey 3m 3-panel aluminium Bifold Door and an openable anthracite grey UPVC window.

The floor was finished with a natural wood effect 12mm laminate floor and 94mm bullnose skirting. The build was professionally plastered and is fitted with fully certified electrics. Additionally, our client also chose a 2.5w Midea air con unit to go in the room.

The outdoor paving in front of and to the side of the build was laid by our talented friends at MK Renovations.

Nestled at the back of the garden, this build blends in beautifully and has been finished to a high end. It really is a home from home and encompasses the natural surroundings as intended.
