What a fabulous use of a dark, dead corner. Although it is close to the house, it enables our lovely clients to enjoy a haven of peace and tranquillity, removed from the hub-bub of every day life.
Set on ground screw foundations, this gem is clad on the front and left walls in Larch whilst the back and right walls are clad in standard white UPVC to help reduce the cost a little.
The anthracite grey 1.8m UPVC French door overlooks the garden and lets in plenty of light to enable our clients to work, read or chill. An additional privacy window was added to the side of the build. The roof is a one-piece Firestone RubberCover EPDM and the far left of the build was fitted with a standard anthracite grey guttering system connected to a water butt.
An SWA cable was run from the main property and there are fully certified electrics within building; our clients also chose to run an ethernet cable to the garden room.
To finish, the room was professionally plastered, a base, whitewash/mist coat of pain applied and 12mm laminate floor and 94mm bullnose skirting added. BGR also rebuilt the fence and retaining wall around the garden room.
What a fabulous garden retreat escape!
