Wow! Our fabulous clients undertake incredible work, rescuing reptiles and we can’t imagine what it must have been like living with all of these enclosures and bodies and a young family in one house! When they approached us with a plan to demolish an old summer house and to replace it with a room large enough and warm enough, we naturally jumped at the chance to help.
Despite its external size, this build falls within Permitted Development and to adhere to Building Control Regulations, walls that are close to boundaries were made with A1 fire rated boards where a minimum of a 1m gap between walls and boundaries could not be achieved.
The building does such a great job at retaining the heat that we anticipate in cooler months it will help to reduce their electricity bills as they look to keep all their cold blooded guests warm. This build certainly gives a different take on working from home!
Finished with anthracite grey UPVC French doors and clad in wood colour composite, this build fits beautifully in a corner of the garden, unobtrusive and close to the main house.
You can see from the sheer size of this garden room that our friends at RDJ Rescue and Rehoming have a lot of rescues residing with them and a lot of work on their hands and we were delighted to help with the important work that our fabulous clients do.
