Garden Room Outer Finish

When it comes to cladding options for a garden room, there is an abundance of choice to suit every style and taste.

Remember to consider both aesthetics and practicality when selecting your garden room cladding.

Each material has its strengths, so choose based on your preferences and the specific requirements of your space!

Some of our popular choices:

Timber

Timber cladding offers you a natural and classic look.

It’s available in different wood species, such as cedar, larch and treated softwood.

While timber requires more maintenance (staining), it remains the most popular choice for garden rooms and complements any garden beautifully.

Please note the below cedar and larch comparison image is pre-staining.

Composite

Composite cladding is a great choice for garden rooms, and one of the clear favourites for our customers.

It’s made from 100% recycled materials, typically a blend of polymer and reclaimed wood fibres. It is durable, resistant to scratches, fading, and moisture.

Most enticing of all, it is low maintenance, easy to clean and comes in a choice of colours.

Cedral Cement

This non-combustible material is resistant to rot and pests and used widely on our builds over 17.5sqm externally that are less than 1 metre from a boundary.

Fire-resistant, it is also durable, low maintenance and comes in a plethora of colours.

UPVC

UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) cladding is highly durable and weather resistant, requiring minimal maintenance.

It comes in various shades, including white, anthracite grey, black, and brown.

UPVC is particularly popular on walls which are not visible when facing the build.

Brick Slip

Brick slips add texture and visual interest. It’s a robust option, offering a rustic or traditional look.

Silicone Render

A modern, sleek render finish to match many contemporary homes.

Although more costly than the popular timber and composite cladding, silicone render offers great longevity and a stylish finish whilst also being available in a plethora of colours.

Metal Cladding

For an industrial-inspired aesthetic, consider metal cladding.

Zinc cladding, in particular, offers unmatched durability and weather resistance.

It’s sleek and modern, perfect for a contemporary garden room.
